A non-invasive, evidence-based method that helps your brain function in a more calm, flexible, and efficient way. It’s based on the understanding that the brain is capable of learning and reorganising itself throughout life. By giving the brain real-time information about its own activity, neurofeedback supports it in shifting out of unhelpful patterns—such as those linked with anxiety, overwhelm, low mood, sleep difficulties, or problems with focus—and into more regulated, balanced states.

During a session, small sensors are gently placed on the scalp to read electrical activity (EEG). Nothing is put into the brain; the system simply “listens.” As you sit comfortably, you watch visuals or listen to sounds on a screen. These visuals change in response to your brain activity, acting like a mirror. When your brain moves into healthier patterns, the system provides positive feedback. When it drifts into less helpful patterns, the feedback reduces. Over time, this process teaches the brain to find and maintain more stable, grounded ways of functioning—much like strengthening a muscle through repeated practice.

Many clients report improvements in emotional regulation, stress tolerance, focus, sleep, and overall wellbeing. Neurofeedback can be used as a standalone approach or integrated with talking therapy to support deeper therapeutic work. It’s particularly helpful for people who feel “stuck,” highly activated, or exhausted by chronic stress, as it works directly with the nervous system and does not require talking through difficult experiences.
